As we continue to remember and mourn our friend and colleague Ashley Block, the ICON program and the Center for Integrative Conservation Research are organizing a book to honor her and her impact on the lives of so many people.
Ashley was passionate about all that life has to offer. With her vibrant personality, she touched diverse communities in Athens and all the places she called home. From this diversity, we hope to draw together memories and reflections of Ashley and compile them in a book to create a lasting tribute to this amazing friend, scholar, and citizen.
If you would like to contribute, please share a short memory or reflection to email@example.com by April 15. All voices are welcome. If you would like your submission to remain anonymous, please indicate that in your email. The completed, bound book will be available free to all those who would like a copy. For those who are outside the UGA campus, please indicate in your submission if you’d be willing to distribute books in your area. Please feel free to also send any questions or clarifications, and please forward this message on to any and all who may want to contribute to this book. Many of you were aware or were a part of her connections to other organizations and groups in Athens. We would appreciate any help you could give in passing this message along whether that be through facebook, email, etc.
We hope this book and the process of creating it will be of value to those who knew Ashley and that it helps to continue binding together her many communities.
